Practice<\/em>. \u00a0The class is designed to introduce students to the major principles and issues related to the writing process.\u00a0 By the course\u2019s end, students\u00a0should have a repertoire of theories, practices, and resources they\u00a0can use to help others learn to write, as\u00a0they continue to explore Writing Studies as teachers, scholars, and writers in the digital age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/miazamoraphd.com\/FA2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/magic-book.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5801 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/miazamoraphd.com\/FA2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/magic-book-300x173.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"330\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/miazamoraphd.com\/FA2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/magic-book-300x173.jpg 300w, https:\/\/miazamoraphd.com\/FA2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/magic-book-768x443.jpg 768w, https:\/\/miazamoraphd.com\/FA2022\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/magic-book.jpg 911w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 330px) 100vw, 330px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will explain the major theories of composing and teaching writing<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will apply, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">examine, and practice the different parts of the writing process<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students will address important issues related to writing instruction<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In Fall 2022, our ENG 5020\u00a0<em>Writing Theory and Practice<\/em> course will also be participating and collaborating with <a href=\"http:\/\/unboundeq.creativitycourse.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#UnboundEq<\/a>\u00a0&#8220;Making Borders Meaningless&#8221;. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/unboundeq.creativitycourse.org\">#UnboundEq<\/a> is a global community and conversation focusing on intercultural learning and digital literacies on the open web &#8211; it is also known as an open online &#8220;collaboratory&#8221;. \u00a0All Kean University students in ENG 5020 will also be active participants in the global <a href=\"http:\/\/unboundeq.creativitycourse.org\">#Unboundeq <\/a>project.<\/p>\n<p>Both the <a href=\"http:\/\/unboundeq.creativitycourse.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#Unboundeq<\/a> project and the <a href=\"http:\/\/miazamoraphd.com\/FA2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENG 5020 course website<\/a> will serve as a shared e-locale and interface for our on-going work and resources as we\u00a0connect with other scholars and co-learners outside our\u00a0formal classroom setting.<\/p>\n<p>Welcome to <em>Writing Theory &amp;
