Mia Zamora’s doctoral degree is in Comparative Literature, so her research and scholarship are inspired first by her love for transnational literature and postcolonial studies. From here, she has broadened her inquiry and writings to include the digital humanities, electronic literature, and composition in a new media environment. As the director of a National Writing Project site and a public intellectual, her scholarship also includes a clear focus on digital pedagogy, networked learning, and open education. Zamora’s recent interactive art projects and installation work emphasize participatory culture and co-creation. Her public art practice has been a further extension of the connected learning advocacy work she loves.
